OMG that Van is someone special. I usually order the same thing. So when she sees my face, she says my order asap. One time my food wasn’t the quality I’m used to for them and when I called and let her know, she promptly made it right without complaining! Awesome Service!!

We ordered takeout last week from People’s Choice and it was incredible. The jerk chicken was tender and flavorful, and they were running low on shrimp so offered to make a combo curry shrimp and salmon which was fantastic. All the sides we tried were delicious—it’s hard to pick a favorite, but the collard greens were by far the best I’ve ever eaten. Portions were HUGE but we still managed to try the banana pudding for dessert. Definitely the right choice, it was just as good as the rest of the meal. We will definitely be back for pickup or dine-in once that’s reopened!

Got jerk chicken meal w/Mac and Yams for Lunch. Food was great, very flavorful. Got cake as well and was awesome. The Lady is very nice and welcoming, always a pleasure to come for a great meal!

Saw this place in the newspaper so we decided to go that day for lunch. It was a wonderful greeting upon entering, very lovely towards us and the other customers. My meal was DELICIOUS. i wanted everything on the menu but decided i could just come back again. I got the jerk chicken salad, which was DELICIOUS. My coworker got the goat plate with mac and cheese and cabbage. I decided im not a goat fan myself, but she said it was amazing. AND THE CABBAGE, who knew it could be that good! We also got the banana pudding with strawberries! Do i even have to comment? It was as delicious as it sounds!

Absolutely love the food I always get a jerk, chicken salad or a wrap or a Rasta pasta and oxtails and the pricing is good and the sizing customer service superb. love it here. If you ever in the mood for some jerk chicken, curry, chicken rice and beans. This is the perfect place to go.

Food was sooo good!! Best oxtails and jerk chicken I have had in a long time! Mac and cheese was good and yams were perfect. Also cabbage was nice and not over seasoned. Wow will definitely be back. Also owner of place is so kind, she is a welcoming person

I've been coming here since it was one of the first Jamaican spots in Rochester. There are many Jamaican restaurants now in Rochester but none are like People's Choice. I've even been to the Caribbean and can't find jerk chicken that tastes this good. The owner is amazing and will do anything for her customers.

Absolutely love this place and would love to come everyday if I could. The owner was extremely hospitable and such a sweet lady. Food was amazing, had jerk chicken, mac and cheese, corn, and collard greens and it made my stomach extremely happy💙💙💙
